What Death Wish does better
Three things, clearly. Caffeine: if you want the maximum jolt per cup, robusta genuinely delivers more than arabica, and that's their entire engineering goal. Certifications: they carry USDA Organic and Fair Trade, which we don't currently hold. And convenience: you can buy Death Wish today, in a store, or have it tomorrow from Amazon. What we do better
Freshness, and it isn't close — because it's a structural difference, not an effort difference. Death Wish roasts to stock and distributes through retail, which means the coffee is roasted before anyone orders it and spends time in the supply chain. We don't roast until you buy.
The second difference is what the beans are for. Robusta adds caffeine and body but is not prized for flavor complexity; it's a strength ingredient. We use 100% specialty arabica across nine roasts because the goal is what the cup tastes like, not what it does to your heart rate.
