Collection: Crossroads — Medium-Roast Coffee
At the Crossroads, balance is everything. These are smooth medium roast coffees — small-batch, roasted to order, and built to be the cup you reach for on autopilot every morning.
What medium roast tastes like. Medium roasting stops shortly after first crack, which is the sweet spot where the bean's origin character and the roast's sweetness meet. You get toffee, milk and dark chocolate, praline, toasted nut and often a clean flicker of citrus on the finish. The body sits in the middle — fuller than a light roast, cleaner than a dark one — and the acidity is present but never sharp.
Who it's for. Everyday drinkers, whole-pot brewers, and households where nobody agrees on coffee. Medium roast is the most forgiving choice on the shelf: it tastes good black, takes milk without disappearing, and won't punish you for a sloppy grind.
How to brew it. The most versatile roast level there is. Grind medium and brew drip or pour-over at about 1 gram of coffee to 16 grams of water for a balanced daily cup. Go a touch coarser in a French press if you want more body. Medium roasts are also the safest place to start if you're dialing in a new brewer.
Not sure between medium and dark? Medium keeps more of the origin's personality; dark trades that for depth and lower acidity.
Roasted after you order, shipped within 2 business days, whole bean or ground.
