FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

About Our Coffee

Is Bean Reaper coffee really roasted to order?

Yes — every single bag. We don't roast in bulk or sit on inventory. Your order triggers the roast. That's the whole model.

What kind of beans do you use?

We use 100% specialty-grade Arabica beans sourced from premier growing regions including Colombia, Ethiopia, Brazil, Indonesia, and Guatemala. No fillers, no compromises.

How fresh is the coffee when it arrives?

Very fresh. Every order is roasted and shipped within 2 business days of being placed — guaranteed. You'll receive your coffee within days of the roast, not months.

Do you offer whole bean and ground options?

Yes. Each product is available in whole bean or pre-ground. Select your preference when you add to cart.

Ordering and Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Roasted fresh after you order. Every order ships within 2 business days — guaranteed — and typically arrives 3–7 business days after it leaves the roastery. Tracking is emailed once your order ships.

Do I get free shipping?

Yes — free standard U.S. shipping on any order of 2 or more bags (orders $40.00 and up). Single-bag orders ship for a flat $4.50. Every subscription order ships free regardless of size.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship within the United States. International shipping is coming — join the crew to be the first to know.

Can I track my order?

Yes. You'll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships.

Freshness and Storage

How should I store my coffee?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the bag sealed between uses. For best flavor, use within 30 days of the roast date printed on the bag.

Can I freeze my coffee?

We don't recommend it. Since our coffee is roasted to order, you're better off ordering smaller amounts more frequently to stay fresh.

Returns and Satisfaction

What if I'm not happy with my order?

We stand behind every bag. If your coffee doesn't meet your expectations, contact us at hello@thebeanreaper.com within 30 days of delivery and we'll make it right — no hassle. Because coffee is a food product, opened bags don't need to be shipped back.

Choosing Your Coffee

Which Bean Reaper coffee is best if I'm new to specialty coffee?

Start with a medium roast — it's the most forgiving place to begin. Grave Shift, our signature four-country blend, balances toffee sweetness, dark chocolate and a touch of citrus. Soul Snatcher is the other easy first cup: smooth, nutty and praline-sweet, with nothing sharp in it. From there you can go brighter with our light-medium Colombian single origin Wake The Dead, or darker with Dead Man's Brew, our Brazilian dark roast. Browse the full lineup at our best-sellers.

What's the best Bean Reaper coffee for staying awake or long shifts?

Grave Shift is the one built for it — our signature medium roast, named for exactly those hours and balanced enough to drink cup after cup without turning bitter. Midnight Reaper is the richer medium if you want maple and toasted nut behind it. Worth knowing: roast level barely changes how much caffeine ends up in the cup — dose, grind and brew method do far more — so choose on flavor rather than on darkness. If you do want a genuinely dark, robust cup, that's Dead Man's Brew, Coffin Break and Afterlife in Death Row. For timing, see when to drink coffee on a night shift.

What roast levels do you offer?

Nine coffees across four roast levels. Light roast: Last Call. Light-medium: Wake The Dead. Medium roast: Grave Shift, Soul Snatcher, Midnight Reaper, and our decaf Final Breath. Dark roast: Dead Man's Brew, Coffin Break and Afterlife. Every product page lists its exact roast level, blend name and origin.

Do you have decaf?

Yes — Final Breath is our decaf. It's made with the same specialty-grade Arabica and roasted-to-order freshness as the rest of our lineup, just without the caffeine. Perfect for late nights when you want the ritual without the jolt.

Which coffees are single-origin vs. blends?

Three single origins and six blends. Single origin: Wake The Dead (Colombia — Huila & Cauca), Dead Man's Brew (Brazil) and Final Breath (Indonesia — Sumatra Mandheling). Blends: Last Call (Ethiopia, Mexico & Brazil), Soul Snatcher (Brazil, Colombia & Guatemala), Grave Shift (Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala & Ethiopia), Midnight Reaper (Brazil & Mexico), Coffin Break (Brazil & Mexico) and Afterlife (Central America blend). Each product page states which you're getting.

Why Bean Reaper

Is fresh-roasted coffee actually better than store-bought?

Yes — fresh-roasted coffee tastes noticeably better than store-bought because coffee is at its peak in the weeks right after roasting. Most grocery-store bags sit for months before they reach you, losing aroma and flavor along the way. Bean Reaper roasts every bag to order, so it arrives days from the roast, not months.

How is Bean Reaper different from other coffee brands?

Bean Reaper roasts every bag to order in small batches, so your coffee is fresh by the day rather than by the month. We use 100% specialty-grade Arabica from premier growing regions, skip the bulk inventory and fillers, and ship straight to you — a fresher, more deliberate approach than the pre-roasted bags sitting on store shelves.
