Description
Description
Cross over into something deeper. Afterlife is a Central America dark roast for drinkers who want all the boldness of the beyond with none of the bitterness — proof that the dark side can taste downright decadent.
Flavor & experience
Pour it and you get a dark roast that drinks smooth and sweet. Rich baker’s chocolate leads, followed by a wave of caramelized sugar that gives the cup an almost dessert-like depth. The body is full and velvety, the finish clean and rounded — no scorched, ashy edges here, just a balanced, satisfying darkness that keeps pulling you back for another sip.
How to brew it. This blend is forgiving across methods. For the fullest body, brew it in a French press at roughly 1 part coffee to 16 parts water; for a cleaner cup that highlights the caramel sweetness, run it through a drip machine or pour-over with a medium grind. Undecided between whole bean or ground? Our whole bean vs ground coffee guide can help you choose.
Who it’s for. Anyone who loves dark roast but hates bitterness, plus after-dinner sippers who treat coffee like dessert. Tasting Notes
Rich and full-bodied with notes of dark chocolate, toasted caramel, and a smooth, lingering finish. A subtle brightness balances the deep roast character, making every cup smooth enough to drink black and bold enough to cut through cream.
Brewing Recommendations
Brewing Recommendations
For best results, use 2 tablespoons of freshly ground coffee per 6oz of filtered water. Grind coarse for French press, medium for drip, and fine for espresso. Brew with water just off the boil (195–205°F) and drink within 30 minutes of brewing for peak flavor.
