Coffee Subscription

Never run out. Never drink stale coffee.

A subscription here isn't a loyalty scheme with a hook in it. It's a standing instruction to roast a fresh bag on a schedule that matches how fast you actually drink coffee, ship it free, and stay out of your way. Change it, skip it, pause it or cancel it whenever you like — from your account, without emailing anyone and without a retention script.

1

Pick your coffee and your rhythm

Any of the nine, whole bean or ground, arriving every 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks. The calculator below works out which interval fits you if you'd rather not guess.

2

We roast when it's due

Your beans aren't roasted until your delivery comes round — the same roasted-to-order promise as any other order here, just on a repeating schedule.

3

It shows up, free

Free U.S. shipping on every subscription delivery, including single-bag ones that would otherwise pay postage. Change or cancel any time from your account.

How often should your coffee arrive?

Most people guess this wrong and end up with either a shelf of unopened bags or a gap of grocery-store coffee. Tell us how much you actually drink.

Why put coffee on a schedule at all

Freshness is a timing problem

Coffee doesn't spoil, it fades — and most of that happens in the first month after roasting. A subscription lines up the roast date with the week you'll actually drink it, which is the only reliable way to stay inside that window without thinking about it.

Free shipping on every delivery

One-off orders ship free at two bags or more. Subscription deliveries ship free regardless — so a single bag every four weeks costs you less than the same bag bought on its own, without any discount involved.

It removes the gap

The real cost of running out isn't the bag you didn't order. It's the week of whatever was in the cupboard, or the emergency tin from the supermarket that was ground and sealed sometime last year.

No lock-in, no games

No minimum number of deliveries, no cancellation fee, no support ticket required. Skip a delivery when you're travelling and push the next one back. It's your schedule.

What it actually costs

We'd rather be straight about this than dress it up. Subscribing does not discount the coffee — a 12 oz bag is $21.99 whether you buy it once or receive it every four weeks. What changes is shipping: subscription deliveries ship free in the U.S. at any size, where a one-off order needs two or more bags to qualify.

So the honest maths: if you're already buying two bags at a time, you're subscribing for the freshness timing and the convenience, not to save money. If you buy one bag at a time, the subscription is straightforwardly cheaper than what you're doing now. And if you keep meaning to reorder and keep forgetting, it's worth it for reasons that have nothing to do with either.

Interval Suits Roughly
Every 2 weeks Two or more heavy drinkers, or a household that goes through a bag a week 26 deliveries a year
Every 4 weeks The common case — one or two people, two to three cups a day 13 deliveries a year
Every 6 weeks A single drinker with a modest habit, or a second coffee you rotate ~9 deliveries a year
Every 8 weeks Weekend-only drinkers, offices with other coffee, decaf on standby ~6 deliveries a year

Not sure which coffee to commit to?

Then don't commit yet. Two sensible ways in: subscribe to The Reaper's Sampler and get all three roast levels each delivery until you know which bag you keep finishing first, or run the coffee finder and start with what it points at. You can change the coffee on an existing subscription without cancelling it, so nothing you pick today is permanent.

Common questions

Can I skip a delivery?

Yes. Skip one, push the date back, or pause the whole thing indefinitely from your account. Skipping is the right move when a bag arrives before you've finished the last — it's more useful than cancelling and re-signing up later.

Can I change the coffee or the grind?

Yes, on an existing subscription, without starting over. Plenty of people rotate — a medium in winter, something brighter when it warms up — and it's a good use of a standing order.

How do I cancel?

From your account, in a couple of clicks, whenever you want. There's no minimum term, no fee, and nobody will try to talk you out of it. If you can't find it, the contact page reaches a real person.

Do I get a discount?

No, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. The subscription price is the regular price; the benefit is free shipping on every delivery plus coffee roasted to your schedule. We'd rather charge one honest price than inflate it and hand some back.

When does it ship?

Your beans are roasted when the delivery comes due and go out within two business days, exactly like a one-off order. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for your renewal date.

Can I subscribe to the coffee pods?

Not yet — subscriptions currently cover the 12 oz bags and the Sampler. If you want pods on a schedule, say so on the contact page; enough requests and we'll add them.

What if a bag arrives and I've still got coffee?

Push the next delivery back and lengthen the interval — that's what the intervals are for. Coffee keeps better unopened, so one bag ahead is fine; three bags ahead means your schedule is wrong and worth fixing.
