Description
Description
Everybody deserves a break — even you. Coffin Break is a classic medium-dark roast of Brazilian and Mexican beans, built for the drinker who wants deep, comforting flavor without tipping all the way into the abyss.
Flavor & experience
Roasted dark enough to bring out real depth but stopped short of bitter, this medium-dark cup delivers rich cocoa and warm toasted-nut notes over a full, rounded body. It’s bold and dependable — smooth, satisfying, and comforting the way a strong cup should be — while still holding onto the natural character of its Brazilian and Mexican origins. Great black, and sturdy enough to stand up to cream.
How to brew it. This one loves a fuller extraction. Grind medium-coarse for a French press at roughly 1 part coffee to 15–16 parts water for maximum body, or run it through drip for an easy everyday pot. Buying it whole and grinding fresh keeps the cocoa notes at their best — here’s whole bean vs ground, explained.
Who it’s for. Fans of bold-but-balanced coffee, French press loyalists, and anyone who finds true dark roast a bit too intense. Explore our darkest, boldest lineup in Death Row, and for a slightly smoother, maple-sweet cousin, try Midnight Reaper. Roasted to order in small batches and shipped fresh, available whole bean or ground.

Brewing Recommendations
Brewing Recommendations
For best results, use 2 tablespoons of freshly ground coffee per 6oz of filtered water. Grind coarse for French press, medium for drip, and fine for espresso. Brew with water just off the boil (195–205°F) and drink within 30 minutes of brewing for peak flavor.
